HEY HO LET’S GO ON RICK BEDROSIAN’S RAMONES QUEENS FOOD TOUR ON SUNDAY, OCTOBER 22nd, 2023- Explore Forest Hills, Rego Park and Woodside, Queens with musician/foodie Rick Bedrosian, Ramones Tour Manager Monte A. Melnick and the King of the Queens Culinary Scene, Joe DiStefano, on Sunday, October 22nd, 2023. You can travel by motor coach from the Capital District or you can meet us in New York City.

This unique food & music tour includes several of Joe D’s favorite foodie destinations (many vegetarian and Kosher options will be available) in the Ramones old stomping grounds (Monte will show us some points of interest) and will conclude in Woodside where you will be free to enjoy some of New York’s best Irish pubs. There are five in a two block area! The cost is $169 per person.

Mark your calendar for Sunday, October 22nd, 2023. This extraordinary tour is the culmination of more than 11 years of research and it’s going to be epic. Travel with Rick Bedrosian by motor coach to New York City’s greatest borough, Queens, where you’ll meet up with the Culinary King of Queens, Joe DiStefano and former Ramone’s Tour Manager, Monte A. Melnick. Joe and Monte will accompany us through Forest Hills and Rego Park all morning and throughout the early afternoon. We’ll explore notable landmarks in Ramones history, stopping frequently to nosh at several of Joe’s favorite eateries. The food and the sightseeing will be unlike anything you’ve experienced before. From Forest Hills/Rego Park, our bus continues on to Woodside where there will be plenty of time to visit the many fine Irish bars and restaurants that have been a mainstay of this dynamic neighborhood for decades.

Monte A. Melnick grew up with the Ramones in Queens. Monte (an accomplished musician in his own right) toured and worked with the Ramones for the band’s entire run- from the earliest rehearsals and CBGB dates to their final concert in 1996. Throughout the Ramones historic career (more than 2,200 shows), Monte was there, starting as their roadie/sound engineer and eventually tour managing. Monte A. Melnick’s book, “On The Road With The Ramones, Bonus Edition”, is THE definitive story of the punk pioneering, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame group that influenced countless rock bands worldwide. The Ramones (and their music) are more popular today than they were when they were together.

Queens-based tour guide and food writer Joe DiStefano is widely known as the Culinary King of Queens. Joe’s been exploring the borough’s diverse global food scene, including the vibrant and delicious kosher delicacies available in The Ramones old stomping grounds of Rego Park and Forest Hills for more than 20 years. His guidebook “111 Places in Queens That You Must Not Miss,” features The Ramp, aka the “Birthplace of American Punk” where Johnny, Joey, Dee Dee and Tommy hung out during their formative years. Guests are encouraged to pick up copies of Monte and Joe’s books (they are available through Amazon) and have them signed.

This tour will depart from Yankee Trails Bus Company (569 3rd Avenue, Rensselaer, NY) at 8am and return at approximately 10:30pm. You can leave your car at Yankee Trails at no charge. This Queens Food Tour takes place rain or shine. Bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast and wear comfortable shoes as this is a WALKING TOUR throughout the Rego Park/Forest Hills eating portion (the initial 3 1/2 hours). The cost for the tour is $169 per person and includes round trip transportation from Rensselaer, NY to Queens, entertainment on the bus and all food in Forest Hills and Rego Park. Drinks are at your expense. For those living in and around the greater New York City area, a very limited number of tickets are available. You can meet us at our first food stop in Rego Park at approximately 11:30am. Tickets can be purchased by mailing a check or money order.
