Enjoy a week in the greater Los Angeles area with Hair Of The Dog leader and Hey Jude’s George Harrison, Rick Bedrosian. Rick has spent over a year of his life in sunny California and he certainly knows how to have fun there. Take in the splendor of the Pacific Coast Highway and enjoy dinner while watching the sun set on the picturesque Pacific Ocean. Film buffs will love touring the Warner Brothers Studio Backlots and Soundstages where classic movies and TV shows such as “Casablanca”, “Batman”, “Gilmore Girls” and “Friends” were filmed. We’ll also spend the day at Universal Studios Hollywood, touring Universal’s historic Front and Back Lots where movies and television shows including, “Columbo”, “Psycho”, “The Blues Brothers”, “To Kill A Mockingbird” and “Jurassic Park” were filmed, and sampling their thrilling rides, restaurants, action shows and attractions.
The view of the greater LA area is spectacular from Griffith Observatory. From their many terraces, the Hollywood sign, downtown Los Angeles and the Pacific Ocean are visible. This is where the legendary knife fight took place in James Dean’s iconic film, “Rebel Without A Cause”. The observatory houses scientific wonders: a huge Tesla coil, a planetarium, an astronaut exhibit, a giant pendulum (a 240 lb. brass ball suspended on a 40 foot cable) that demonstrates Earth’s rotation and more. Our group will spend a few hours at the acclaimed LA Zoo where we’ll encounter amphibians, birds, mammals and reptiles. The zoo also has an extensive botanical garden on their grounds,
No trip to Los Angeles is complete without the Dodgers and Disney. Get ready to be amazed at beautiful Dodger Stadium as the LA Dodgers take on their divisional rival, San Diego Padres. Dodger Stadium was built in an enormous ravine and it opened in 1962 to much acclaim. It was marvelously upgraded in 2005 and it truly is Blue Heaven. The fun will continue in Anaheim, home of Disneyland and the new Disney California Adventure. We’ll have all day and night and complete access to both Disneyland and the adjacent (the entrances are only about 20 yards apart) Disney California Adventure with our Parkhopper Passes.
This trip of a lifetime is priced at only $2700 (based on double occupancy) and it includes- Roundtrip airfare from Albany, NY, five nights in a quality Los Angeles hotel, all ground transportation and transfers in Los Angeles, five breakfasts, admission to the following attractions: a Los Angeles Dodgers game, Warner Brothers Studio, Griffith Observatory, Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, Universal Studios Hollywood and the LA Zoo. All other meals are at guests expense.
