SOLD OUT!

The Rick Bedrosian
New York City
Food & History Tour
Greenwich Village
Saturday, October 22nd, 2016
While Midtown Manhattan is known for it’s Broadway shows, glitzy marquees and immense skyscrapers, New York’s Greenwich Village offers a more casual side of the city that never sleeps. It’s easy to feel like a local while eating or shopping there. Unlike 5th Avenue or SoHo, the pace is slower in the Village, the streets are relatively quiet and the scale is small. It’s no wonder so many artists, actors, writers and musicians have lived in Greenwich Village. Notable residents past and present include Jimi Hendrix, Lou Reed, Jack Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, Bob Dylan, Matthew Broderick, Claire Danes, Will Ferrell, Philip Seymour Hoffman, John Belushi, Fiorello LaGuardia, Dustin Hoffman, Mario Batali, Harrison Ford, Henry Ford, Henry Paul, John Lennon and Yoko Ono.

Greenwich Village is a tremendous place to sample some of the best food NYC has to offer without fighting huge crowds. Bring a hearty appetite. There will be plenty to see, smell, taste and bring home. Most Village food tours last an hour or two. Spend all day with eminent musician, food enthusiast and traveler Rick Bedrosian as he guides you through the small winding streets, peculiar alleys, historic sites, old world restaurants and specialty shops that are abundant in Greenwich Village. Rick has eaten his way through the Village dozens of times, constantly seeking out the finest and cheapest fare Greenwich Village has to offer. He’s discovered some pretty significant landmarks too.

Be prepared to taste some remarkable barbecue, pizza, Middle Eastern, Italian, Mexican, Asian, tapas, artisan cheese & bread, coffee, desserts and more. Between bites you’ll see some awesome sights. Price does not include food so you can consume what you like and as much or as little as you want at every stop. Don’t like exotic cuisine? No problem. Each location offers a multitude of choices to suit every palate. Greenwich Village pizza is worth the trip down and back. The tour will take place rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes and dress accordingly (light layers are always best). If the weather forecast calls for rain, be sure to bring an umbrella.

We’ll be departing at 7am from Crossgates Commons, 161 Washington Avenue Extension, Albany, NY. We’ll return at approximately 9:30pm. You can leave your vehicle at Crossgates Commons. There is no charge to park. The cost of the tour is $115 per person. Please make your check payable to October Eve Music LLC and mail it to: October Eve Music, PO Box 2, Delmar, NY 12054. Please include your name, the name of anyone else that you may be reserving for, mailing and email addresses and a cellphone number for you and each guest. Due to the limited number of seats, payment must be received in full and reservations will be taken in the order they arrive.
