DESCRIPTION:Anthony Bourdain: “Queens is arguably the most under appreciated borough of New York. An impossibly complex matrix that reflects the culture and cuisine of the entire world.” Unlike Brooklyn (their chic neighbor to the south)\, Queens has still not yet been invaded by hipster hordes and busloads of tourists. As Himalayans\, Peruvians\, Tibetans\, Colombians\, Spaniards\, Turks\, Paraguayans\, Koreans\, Chinese\, Mexicans\, Italians\, Irish\, Israelis\, Greeks\, Thais and Japanese moved into tidy and affordable neighborhoods such as Astoria\, Elmhurst\, Long Island City\, Forest Hills\, Corona\, Sunnyside\, Woodside\, Jackson Heights and Flushing\, grocery stores and restaurants showcasing their native products appeared\, thus giving these immigrants an opportunity to consume the comfort foods from their native lands. Their abundant presence has made Queens the Culinary Showcase of the World! \nBe prepared to taste some remarkable food and see some outstanding sights between bites. Price includes food\, motor coach transportation\,  and guide (Rick) throughout the day. The tour will take place rain or shine. Wear comfortable shoes and dress accordingly (light layers are always best). If the weather forecast calls for rain\, be sure to bring an umbrella. You can leave extra layers and your umbrella on the bus. There are several opportunities to consume adult beverages but this tour is not a Pub Crawl. It’s a Food Crawl with alcohol! \nWe’ll be departing at 8am from Yankee Trails (569 3rd Avenue\, Rensselaer\, NY) and returning at approximately 9pm. You can leave your vehicle in the Yankee Trails parking lot. The cost of the tour is $200 per person (plus gratuity) and that includes deluxe round trip motor coach transportation and all food.
