As Himalayans, Peruvians, Tibetans, Colombians, Spaniards, Turks, Paraguayans, Koreans, Chinese, Mexicans, Italians, Irish, Israelis and Japanese moved into tidy and affordable neighborhoods such as Astoria, Elmhurst, Long Island City, Forest Hills, Corona, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights and Flushing, grocery stores and restaurants showcasing their indigenous products appeared, giving these immigrants an opportunity to consume their own particular comfort foods in America. Your walking tour includes round trip transportation from the Capital District to NYC, Rick’s guidance throughout the tour, all NY Subway rides (we’ll be getting on and off a few times) and delicious and diverse food at at least 5 different locations. The tour departs Albany, NY at 7am and returns around 9pm. You can leave your vehicle in Albany and there is no charge to park. The cost of the tour is only $165 per person (plus gratuity for the guide). Don’t need transportation to and from Albany? No problem. You can meet us at our first stop and pay only $100.
