Queens New York Fabulous Food Tour
April 21 @ 7:00 am - 9:30 pm
SOLD OUT- Queens is an enormous (and vastly under appreciated) New York City borough, teeming with ethnic diversity. Unlike Brooklyn (their chic neighbor to the south), Queens has not yet been invaded by hipster hordes and busloads of mainstream tourists. As Himalayans, Peruvians, Tibetans, Colombians, Spaniards, Turks, Paraguayans, Koreans, Chinese, Mexicans, Italians, Irish, Jews and Japanese moved into tidy and affordable neighborhoods such as Astoria, Elmhurst, Long Island City, Forest Hills, Corona, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights and Flushing, grocery stores and restaurants showcasing their native products appeared, giving these immigrants an opportunity to consume the comfort foods from their native lands. Their abundant presence has made Queens a Culinary Showcase of the World!
Explore the gastronomical wonders of Queens, NY with world traveler and bon vivant Rick Bedrosian, leader of the world renowned Celtic-Rock band, Hair Of The Dog and portrayer of George Harrison in the popular Beatles Tribute show, Hey Jude. Rick has been to Queens dozens of times and he’s racked up a long list of dynamite dining destinations. Your walking tour includes round trip transportation from the Capital District to NYC, a personal guide (Rick) throughout the tour, all NY Subway rides (we’ll be getting on and off a few times) and delicious and diverse food at at least 6 different locations. Many vegetarian and mild options are available. You will not go home hungry! Drinks are at your own expense.
The tour departs Albany, NY at 7am and returns around 9:30pm. You can leave your vehicle in Albany and there is no charge to park. The cost of the tour is only $139 per person (plus gratuity), a genuine bargain. Don’t need transportation to and from Albany? No problem. You can meet us at our first stop and pay a reduced rate! These tours are limited to a maximum of 5-10 people so don’t wait too long to register. The Queens Food Tour takes place rain or shine. Bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast. Please fill out the registration form on the back and mail it, along with your check. You must be at least 16 years of age and in good physical condition as this is a walking tour. Those under 21 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Comfortable shoes are highly recommended. October Eve Music assumes no liability or responsibility for any loss or injury.
