NYC Food Tour: LIC, Flushing, Corona & Woodside, Queens, Saturday, April 25th, 2026

Anthony Bourdain: “Queens is arguably the most under-appreciated borough of New York. An impossibly complex matrix that reflects the culture and cuisine of the entire world.” Unlike Brooklyn (their chic neighbor to the south), Queens has not yet been invaded by hipster hordes and busloads of mainstream tourists. As Himalayans, Peruvians, Tibetans, Colombians, Spaniards, Turks, Paraguayans, Koreans, Chinese, Mexicans, Italians, Irish, Israelis and Japanese moved into tidy and affordable neighborhoods such as Astoria, Elmhurst, Long Island City, Forest Hills, Corona, Sunnyside, Woodside, Jackson Heights and Flushing, grocery stores and restaurants showcasing their indigenous products appeared, giving these immigrants an opportunity to consume their own particular comfort foods in America. Their abundant presence has made Queens a Culinary Showcase of the World!

On Saturday, April 29th, 2023, explore the gastronomical wonders of Long Island City, Flushing, Corona and Woodside, Queens with world traveler, YouTube TV series host, leader of the internationally renowned Celtic-Rock band, Hair Of The Dog and “George Harrison” in the popular Beatlemania show, Hey Jude, Rick Bedrosian. Rick has been to Queens hundreds of times and he’s racked up a long list of dynamite dining destinations. Your foodie tour includes round trip transportation from the Capital District to NYC via deluxe motor coach, Rick’s guidance throughout the tour (and a bit of entertainment on the bus) and delicious and diverse food at at least 3 different locations. Both vegetarians and non-vegetarians are welcome on this and all my tours. Our final stop will be a short visit to Woodside, Queens where we will have an opportunity to toast our good fortune (and great food) in one of their many fine Irish pubs.

The tour departs from Yankee Trails (569 3rd Avenue, Rensselaer, NY) at 7am and returns at approximately 10:30pm. You can leave your vehicle at Yankee Trails and there is no charge to park. The cost of the tour is $180 per person (plus gratuities) and includes transportation and all food. Drinks are at your expense. These tours are limited to a maximum of 30 people so don’t wait too long to register. This Queens Food Tour takes place rain or shine. Bring an umbrella if rain is in the forecast.
